Nothing Phone (2) Official: Features And Prices

Nothing has officially presented its Nothing Phone (2), a medium-high-end smartphone that incorporates many of the features already seen on the previous model.

The new Nothing Phone (2) by Carl Pei, the natural heir to the Nothing Phone (1), has been officially unveiled. A device that has a lot in common with the previous model in terms of design, starting with the well-known ” Glyph ” system, which, using the LEDs positioned on the back of the smartphone, will notify the user of incoming notifications, with the possibility of customizing the light alerts to your liking.

The Nothing Phone (2) has a 6.72-inch OLED display with FHD resolution (2,412×1,080 pixels) and 120Hz variable refresh rate. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass, which keeps it safe from scratches and falls. Carl Pei’s company has dedicated 12 GB of RAM and 128/256/512 GB of non-expandable storage space to the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor.

The photographic sector includes a main sensor from 50 MP (ƒ / 1.88) with optical image stabilization (OIS) and electronic image stabilization (EIS) and an ultra-wide angle sensor from 50 MP (ƒ / 2.2) with EIS. As confirmed by Nothing, the main sensor is a Sony IMX 890 (against the Sony IMX 766 of the previous model), while the wide-angle one is a Samsung JN1 (no variation).

An apt choice is that of Nothing, which takes up what was done with the previous model, going straight to the point and bringing only two sensors to this smartphone but useful for making quality shots.

Among the connections are 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, USB-C, and various solutions for detecting the position via GPS, GLONASS, Beidou, Galileo, QZSS, SBAS, and NAVIC satellites. Also present is the NFC chip, essential for contactless payments and reading electronic cards.

The battery is 4,700 mAh with 45W wired charging (against the 33W of the predecessor), 15W wireless charging (identical), and 5W reverse charging. The operating system is Android 13 with proprietary Nothing OS 2.0 interface and Nothing’s guarantee of 3 years of Android updates and four years of security patches. Finally, there is also the IP54 certification, which certifies the device’s resistance to dust and water splashes from all directions.

The new Nothing Phone (2) can already be purchased on the official website in the only color available: Dark Gray, but the white model will almost certainly also arrive. The suggested price for the public is:
